The Importance of being Earnest

Set in the 1890’s this play is probably the most successful one written by Oscar Wilde. It is the story of Jack Worthing who invents an alter ego ‘Ernest’ in an attempt to throw off the responsibilities of everyday life. There is inevitable confusion and hilarity when reality and fantasy collide.
